Community Make is supporting our community to help with the COVID-19 crisis.

We are bringing together Canadian makers, technologists and medical professionals to find out what is needed and how they can help. We’re connecting people to the resources and institutions that will make COVID-19 projects succeed.

3D Printed Ventilators

Working with 3D-printing companies and government health officials to manufacture 3D-printed ventilators. Currently in conversation with international teams testing prototypes and looking for teams to create prototypes for approval in Canada and aiding in manufacturing across Canadian communities.

Working with hospitals and medical organizations on the front-line to design and produce medically approved face shields to address the PPE shortage for health care workers in Ontario.

Working with Ontario hospitals to design and produce protective gowns for doctors, nurses and other front-line workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Working together to find a solution to the medical mask shortage in Canada and abroad for front-line workers (hospitals, medical offices, grocers, couriers, etc). Exploring DIY manufacturing techniques and reuse methods.

Coordinating a national resource database of makers, technologists & medical professionals able to serve our communities across Canada and share information globally. This database will allow a quick response to Canadian challenges as they arise.

As the COVID-19 crisis evolves, community organizations and businesses are coming together to address the PPE shortage for medical and personal settings. Community Make will be sharing calls to action from other organizations to aid in supporting their needs.
